Uh, Max? Take a look at the last paragraph. It reads pretty clearly that everything right/conservative is based in evil, etc. while at the same time making it pretty clear that light does indeed shine out of the ass of the left. At least in the mind of the writer. My clarification was that all the things he so heavily criticizes the right for is what the left in Canada has been doing for years.

Therefore, while I agree with what he is saying needs to be done, the fact is it needs to be done without any attention being paid to political leaning. Whether the crap is coming from the left or from the right it is still crap.

Uh, Big U? Bob? Why can’t Bobby read? I don’t think our host is arguing that the light shines out of the ass of the left. The argument is very simple: Krauthammer doesn’t have an argument. He’s just pushing buttons and his ‘ideology’ is a hollow shell with no center.

Until the US right can find something other than hatred of gays and love of war-profiteering to fill that hole, the kinds of hard core supporters they attract will be the ‘Vote McCain, Not Hussein’ crowd, and that’s one of the reasons that they got their asses handed to them.

Not one ‘conservative’ has ever been able to make a coherent argument about any aspect of the GOP program that makes logical sense except as a support for monied elites whom the little people are supposed to worship from a-far.

I have something I need to get off my chest. Bob, it’s 100 percent obvious that your Republican. Now I’m not saying there is anything wrong with that and thats because I don’t have to. But I will say this, I’m tired of this divided Country shit. Everybody is sitting doing nothing. Bob is probably thinking of rediculous arguments right now. Keep it up everyone so we can all blow up. You know, if a long while now, my browser (Opera) simply hasn’t rendered italics on this blog. No problem on other blogs. Just you guys. I’m sure it’s got to do with CSS, but I’m too lazy to research it, and it almost never matters.

Anyway, content was good. I find it particularly appalling when the right wing makes claims about feminism. Then again, if feminism is the radical notion that women are people, we should only compare conservatives’ treatment of women to their treatment of humanity as a whole. In that light, they only hate women a little more than any other kind of people.

As long as you repeat the mantra that left wing is good, honest and true and right wing is bad, dishonest and deceitful, you will simply continue the paradigm of stupidity. There are good people of all political stripes and evil people of all political stripes.

Here in Canada, the left wing of the country has run campaigns that are very similar to the tactics you denounce as being synonymous with right wing people. The most intolerant people here tend to be those on the left side of the political spectrum.

Take your last two sentences by themselves and you have got a great basis to work from. But for any real intelligent change in your country, you need to separate those things from political ideology.
